The Arts Council – Gold Arts Award

The girls taking this enrichment option are working towards the planning, development and successful delivery of Brent’s first ever Arts Festival, to be held at CJM in November 2019.

As part of the process they will also be undertaking a Gold Arts Award, which is with 16 UCAS points and will allow them to explore areas of the Arts that they are passionate about whilst also working directly with professionals within these fields.

Mrs Blackmore runs the SRA literacy group for year 7, 8 and 9s.  We support her with the 36 year 7s on Tuesday mornings, to work on their reading comprehension, spellings, vocabulary and study skills. We feel that we make a positive impact and impression on the younger students. The support we give not only helps them, but it also builds our confidence and self-esteem. In the words of our founder St Claudine, we aim “to serve one another unselfishly.”
