Extra Curricular Activities
The Drama Department ran a hugely successful whole school production of ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ in April 2014. There will be another whole school production next year, which is open for everyone to get involved in, either as a performer, singing, dancing and acting, or backstage. Students have learnt skills such as lighting operation, sound operation, make-up, costume, set design, advertising, front of house and props. The experience is a great opportunity for students across the school community to come together to create a performance that they will never forget!
Other highlights this year include: Drama Showcases, Y10&11 Gifted and Talented Dance and Drama Performances, KS3 Drama Clubs, Performing Arts Showcase, Carol Concert, BTEC Performances (including a collaboration with Newman Catholic College), Primary School links and external workshops, cross curricular links with Art, English and Psychology. The department offers a range of trips and visits to support the learning of students in KS4/5. We also offer extra-curricular coursework support at GCSE/A Level/BTEC.
